Origins

KNWLS was founded in 2017 by Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault, both graduates of Central Saint Martins.Initially launched under the name “Charlotte Knowles,” the brand rebranded to “KNWLS” in 2021 to reflect its evolution into a collaborative studio practice and its ambition to establish itself as a luxury fashion house.

KNWLS remains independently owned and operated by its founders, Knowles and Arsenault. Their partnership, both personal and professional, allows for a cohesive and dynamic creative vision that drives the brand forward.
