There’s no doubt that the fashion industry is all over the place, with lots of complaints about sizing, quality, and morality issues, there are few and far between for brands that have been standing their test of time. Here are a few high quality brands we are rooting for in 2024.
Khaite ($$$$) Women’s, Kids, RTW, Shoes, Bags,
Why Khaite? Khaite has gained an immense following during the minimalist not minimalist era of fashion. With more people turning towards elevated basics, Khaite has been a solid answer.
What we know: Khaite’s quality has always been superb. It blows other brands out of the water for fit and has a more traditional approach for sizing.
What we recommend: Denim, Knits, Shoes
Skims ($$) Womens, Mens, RTW, Lingerie, Activewear
Why Skims? As much as people loath to see this brand on a positive list, there’s one thing Ms. Kimberly knows and that’s Fit. Take one look at what the TikTok “It” girls are rocking when they go to grab their daily Matcha, it’s probably a slim tee or slim dress. The extra paneling and contoured fabric makes it flattering on most body types, and at a fairy reasonable price point its a no brainer.
What we know: Lots of “Dupes” have come forward of their most popular styles with similar fabric contents but we personally can not attest for those as we strive to support direct to consumer brands.
What we recommend: Fits Everyone Pieces, Wire-free Bras
Vagabond ($$) Womens, Mens, Shoes, Bags
Why vagabond? You Might notice that a lot of their women items have heels even though they’re a run around Europe shoe. Women have been raving about the quality and comfort of Vagabonds designs for quite a while now and we are hoping they gain even more traction this year!
Ninety Percent ($$) Womens, RTW Sizes XXS-XXL
Why Ninety Percent? We’re loving the chic classic looks at a (somewhat) reasonable price point. They’re dedicated to using natural materials for their products.
What we know. We personally have tested out this minimalist brand and love the styling and draping. The quality is great with no complaints so far.
MaxMara ($$$$) Womens, RTW,
Why MaxMara? Its been around forever yet you don’t hear to much from the brand. We went in recently to see what they were up to and LOVED what we were seeing. The high quality sweaters and super cute pants to go with were definitely something to keep an eye on. This isn’t the most affordable one on the list but they are definitely built to last if you’re looking for high quality staples.
