The Sirens of Seduction: Rat & Boa’s Cult Glamour

Origins and Founding

Rat & Boa was founded in 2015 by friends Valentina Muntoni and Stephanie Bennett, who met while modeling and bonded over their shared love of slinky silhouettes and vintage drama. The brand, named after a Stevie Nicks lyric, was born out of a desire to create unapologetically feminine dresses with a rebellious spirit. From sheer mesh to silk slip dresses, Rat & Boa brings high-octane glamour to the everyday—and has become a go-to for statement partywear with an edge.

Ownership and Leadership

Valentina and Stephanie continue to lead the brand creatively, working closely with their team to develop seasonal collections that feel equal parts sultry, sophisticated, and empowering. The brand operates independently and thrives through direct-to-consumer drops and limited-edition launches.

Aesthetic and Design Language

Rat & Boa’s look is seductive, bohemian, and effortlessly dramatic. The brand is known for ultra-flattering cuts—bias-cut slips, plunging maxis, ruched mesh midis—and sheer, floaty fabrics that feel ready for candlelit dinners, summer weddings, or rooftop cocktails. Pieces are designed to be seen, worn, and remembered. Think rich jewel tones, liquid satins, strategic cutouts, and plenty of leg. Rat & Boa lives in the moment—and dresses for it.

    The Future

Rat & Boa continues to expand its sizing, elevate its fabrics, and lean into slow fashion principles without losing its core identity: confident, sensual, and wildly photogenic. With new silhouettes and global shipping, the brand is building a more inclusive, celebratory vision of occasion dressing that doesn’t sacrifice sex appeal.
