Khiry was founded in 2016 by Jameel Mohammed, a then-student at the University of Pennsylvania who began designing jewelry as a political and artistic response to the lack of Black representation in the luxury fashion space. What started as a side project quickly evolved into a critically acclaimed fine jewelry brand—one that uses design as a platform for cultural storytelling, rooted in the Black diaspora.

Jameel Mohammed remains the sole founder and creative director of Khiry, overseeing everything from artistic inspiration to sculptural development.
